A Cast of Cases it’s a design featuring a transparent space of knowledge that divides the building into five volumes of different libraries merging together and encourage the public to enter. The open space of knowledge therefore divides the volume in five large zones that accommodates the fundamental parts of the library by separating the five volumes it creates air and allows natural light into the heart of the building.
What makes a space? How is space created? How can a space with four walls change by just changing or taking away one or several of them - or by just cutting of a corner? How will the material use change your experience of space- and will it?
The Klein Studio was built for Bernet Klein, fabric designer and artist. The two-story late Modernist building consists of concrete panels,glazed walls and brick circulation ‘towers’, set on a brick plinth with a cantilever overhanging upper-floor. This project is about exploring the building elements, taking it a part to create a new architecture that could co-exist with The Klein Studio.
